No.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no.

The '71 is interesting but the game was lost by that point. The first 3 years were the best, and unlike Mustangs etc they still aren't well known or appreciated.
If we were talking Moostangs, then yes, the 69-73 fastbacks are far more interesting than the hyped up early stuff.

I had a triple black '65. I bought it in the early '90s for a bag with a growly bottom end. I rebuilt the engine with a naughty cam, headers and a few other bits and served it on about a year later.

I still have vivid memories of being in the outside lane of the M25 doing well over the wrong side of a ban and wondering what the burning smell was , I quickly pulled over to find the A/C compressor clutch glowing red and smoke everywhere :(

That gold car has had a particularly nasty retrim and the wood which actually was real in these looks completely wrong. A shame really as the rest of the car looks stunning. We won't even discuss the shocking radio !

I have also had a couple of '66s and a '67 which was the Earls Court motor show car, alas long gone :(

love that back end. it's nice to see such discreet rear lights, instead of the usual square yards of bulky plastic smothering the rear of new cars
