hi again,
started wiring in the ews yesterday. im a bit poor with electrics so if im a bit slow bear with me
heres the diagram so you dont have to go looking
http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/1687/ewsii.jpg
right so to start with ive got different coloured wires on the ews II module. however the plug itself is from a different car, very kindly sent to me by eko. obviously this wont matter but just being through!
ive got pin 18 the green wire from the ecu plug, going directly to the ews module.
what is the best location in the foot well to ground the ews module?
ive grounded the send recieve module onto the same ring as the indicator relay on the steering column. good idea?
in the diagram on the ews module it dosent mention which pin is hot at all times. is it pin 5 as per the E34 ews diagram?
where is the best location for me to wire this to? it needs to be fused so should it go from the module all the way to the fuse box?!
lastly, the wires to my ring antenna have been cut. will this matter if i re solder them together? does it matter which way round they are?
cheers,
Matt

Pin 5 is permanent live, Red/Yellow, take it from any permanent live you like, the battery terminal is closer than the fusebox
Antenna wires can go either way round
