Where does the OBC temp sensor go?

My 325i originally came with the 6 button obc but it wasnt working, so I got another off ebay. I have the sensor in the bit of pipe but firstly I need to know, what side of the car does it go on?
Secondly, where does the wire go?
It seems at some point the bumper has had a smack therefor the pipe and sensor are missing and so is the wire.
I have all the replacement cable but just need to know where it goes.

Hope the above makes sense!

pre or post facelift?

pre facelist there is a small 'ole in the lowest part of the front of the car (valance?) just near a fixing screw hole on the passenger side; the sensor lives in here.... allegedly

post facelift the sensor goes in the brake cooling duct (elbow-shaped (?) 'square tube) passenger side again.

wires run alongside the main loom and in behind the glove box under the brake servo?

some more detail someone... yes you at the back?

Its the post facelift with the square cooling duct. I assume this is passenger side on a RHD car? (just checking!).

:D yep passenger side on a RHD (arf)

I'm pretty sure (I have a pre-facelift), but you should see the loom for the lights tucked away on that side of the car.... in any case, the square ducts ain't swoppable (from one side of the car to the other I mean), so that should settle it!

Cheers for that, managed to trace the wires and found that they had just cut the plug off, so ive got a cable to run when ive got the time and sun light!
