I need a wiring guide to mate my e34 m50 engine loom onto the plug on my 1.6 m40 loom.
I presume I'm gonna need some 6 cylinder clocks too?
I have found Diagrams for e30s that were originally 6 cylinder but none for 4 pots.
Cheers guys.

Exactly the same, except that your four pot body loom won't have the oil level sensor wires.
Check out my 'sticky' "wiring warning" at the top of the engine swaps forum, re. pin 20.
If you change the clocks for six cylinder ones, you will make the tacho. read correctly, but mess up the fuel gauge (unless your car is a touring.) Just change the coding plug on the lower right front face of the clocks.
