Out of curiosity, how did you wire in the m3 clocks' to the oil temp sensor?
Something i need to tackle on the M3 myself...

Oil temp is as follows;
3 wires from the plug on from the the back of the m3 clocks;
Pin 1 - Brown - Earth
Pin 2- Brown/Yellow - To temp sender (brown/red wire from e36 x69 plug)
Pin 3 - Green/White - Switched live.
You also need to use an E30 M3 temp sender, which is also the same as the S50B30 one, but different to the S50B32 one.

She’s on the road!
Had the E30 on the road for about 2 weeks now. Had a few small teething problems, but nothing major, just things you’d expect with doing a conversion.
Here’s a couple of photos of it looking pretty”¦.

Just needs to be a little lower at the front, which I’ll sort once I have a sump guard fitted, as the sump does sit low.
I’ll get some interior shots once I’ve properly cleaned it and some engine bay shots, once I’ve finished tidying it up and fitted my new cam cover.
I love it though, its so cool being in an E30, but having the power of an E36 M3.
One annoying thing that’s happened though, is that a small hole has appeared in the fuel tank!! Quite annoying losing £40 worth of fuel! So patched it up with some chemical metal, but new tank to be fitted this week or next.

Hello, I was the long haired metrosexual with the green 328iSE (in sig) at the the German show I wanted to say a massive thank you for sharing your car with me this weekend. The moment i say it I fell in love, I've been dreaming of doing this for a looooong time and got close with my 2.8 conversion. I had ALL the bits and car and then due to life it never happened. Your car is an inspiration and keep up good work and well done with wiring that all in

Just such a shame he sold it before the feature came out.
It's one of the best built cars I know, he went to so much trouble to make it look factory that 90% of people always thought it was a tidy 320 with wheels.
You had to be a geek to spot pretty much everything was changed.

Wow, after reading the thread that's such a shame - after looking at the last few pics I thought to myself that it's pretty much perfect in every way.s1oww wrote:Just such a shame he sold it before the feature came out.

He's clearly hiding so I'll be his voice
He built it and just had a moment of madness and put it on pistonheads. We told him he was mad and then he called me to say he had taken it off and was keeping it.
The next day he came round and said I've just sold it.
It sold stupidly quick and he'd hardly used it.
It did go so he can buy his dream car, so I'll let him off, but dam it was a good e30.
