Much better looking than the new 1 series - looks quite like a mini version of the 5. Quite like the lights at the front.
The 4 cylinder 330 or whatever it is does feel like we've been robbed though.
Have seen that several people think the new 5 looks a munter as well. Must admit that when I first saw them, the outgoing 5 looked one of the ugliest cars going but I loved the look of mine in M Sport guise.
Pictures I've seen of this new 3 with decent sized wheels and the M Sport kit does look good I'm afraid to say.
In 3 years time I think I'll be tempted.

Back and sides look fine the front is pretty fugly.
I'm a fan of the new 5 series my neighbour has a nice msport one, no idea what engine is in it as its debaged but think its a 530D. Looks way better in the flesh than it does in pictures.

They've done a great job of making the fronts of the new cars proper ugly.

same trouble as a lot of new cars, the bonnet is too damn high above the lights making the front look pinched and squinty.
problem is you more or less have to do it too meet the pedestrian safety regs.
even the new z4 suffers from it when you see one out on the road, the bonnet line is just too damn high.

Undoubtedly a very fine car that does everything well but lacks any real character. A bit like a current Mondeo or Insignia.

Nothing wrong with a standard E36 Coupe in a good colour with stock wheels and perhaps a 30mm drop. A saloon in a crap colour is just a tram.
The silver Coupe above appears to have 15 inch E46 wheels - how odd.

I've a soft spot for a tidy E36..
that new thing just looks like everything else on the market.. hardly recognisable as a BMW
