I paid 190 for this and it now owes me 400 and has 12 months mot and also a new clutch so it's a cheap car!
It is a non sunroof 4 door model after looking I have not seen another one that has no sunroof so is this rare?
Also what is the std 0-60 on these as if feels pretty nippy to me and I've had a few quick cars now.
Thanks for any info.

£150 per ton. No sunroof means less weight

Drench the carpets with water and concrete in the spare wheel well to make up for it.pacerpete wrote:£150 per ton. No sunroof means less weight

No sunroof is a downside to me as it dont allow rust like E30's.

Surely less rust is a good thing!

E36 roofs with sunroofs dont rot like E30's because they have sunroof cassette instead of a metal tray bonded to the roof skin.

there are definately more with sunroof, but as this thread shows, there are plenty out there without so it doesnt really mean anything. more common on later cars which are more likely to come with climate controll.
i believe on most models a sunroof was a standard pre-ticked option, which you could opt out of if you wanted.
personally i'd have preferred mine wthout as it never ever gets opened (other than to check it's not siezed)

That's what's weird as it has no aircon either so original owner must have really not had the money for any options!

Mine hasn't got air con either, I usually just open the window if I get too hot.

Not rare by any means. 190 odd bhp for what it owes you is a good deal though.
M50's are great engines which rev very well. They sound better than the m20 also.

My mate had a non sunroof 328 covertable.
IIRC e36 had option boxes for almost everything, including the stereo.
