E30 M20B20 CHIP

apparently there's a chip you get for the 320i M20 block which improves performance and fuel economy.

has anyone been down this road before, what are the benefits of installing the chip? noticeable power change, increase or decrease in torque and bhp?

would appreciate if anyone could shed some light on this.. cheers.

you need to have a chat with a guy on here called speedtouch, he has lots of chips, and can advise

Lol asad this is what i told u about.. The chip i have is a mild chip from a zoner named speedtouch (maurice)

lol singh just doing some research as to what it does, no good me sticking in a chip that results in me seriously damaging my engine!

I Had it in my car for quite a while, right up until the 2.7 went in. Its does make a differance, id say fuel economy stays the same but you do feel abit more pull coming from the engine, it revs alot better and it wont damage the engine as quite a few people on here have run and still do run these chips. Iv stopped using it due to an engine change but i would recommend it

Is your car the later Facelift model? As he doesnt have them for the Chromie 320i's

my 87 320 has one and it does make a difference,although mine is an auto it feels and pulls better.for what they cost they are worth it.mpg is better on the run by 2 or 3,cant say round town as i only do a couple of miles and a v12 would be better

mines a 1990 G reg 320i coupe. I take it its a facelift model as its at the end in the production line.

wow currently i get about 40miles of £10. that seems reasonable i guess, my mums 2.5 does the same.
