e30 m52 rubber engine mounts

do i have to use E28 M5/M535 rubber engine mounts or can i use e36 ones ?

sticky says the e28 ones with e36 alloy arms. I am about to purchase the e28 ones, post up a good deal if you find one.

u can get them from sutton auto factors for £38 for a pair so ther not to bad i wos trying to save some cash but e36 ones dont fit.

Got mine (e28 M5) from the dealers for about £90 the pair. The e36 ones are apparently known for failing.

my m8 has use e34 m5 mounts in his e30 thay are onle £16.34

dose eny one know wot year M535 do i get the rubber engine mounts off or have u got a part number or a pic so i get the right ones ? and i well let u all know how much i get the for ?

I don't have the BMW part number at hand so can't check anything out, but I would stay well away from unbranded parts especially engine mounts. Just buy some mounts from a legit manufacturer.

Buy it cheap, buy it twice.........

The cheap ones are shite! Magpie had some on his M50 and it slopped about like it was held in with bungee cords!

theres allways the option of solid mounting them with box section less hassle 50% cheaper even more if you can weld your self and engine is as solid as a rock just like mine :)

i got told to day that i cant use the m52 E36 engine mounting arms i am meant to use the m50 ones but i am shuer ther the same ?

Mate just order some rubbers from an e28 m30 (m535i)

Not got a clue mate,i took them the same time i removed the sump from the car.
I can only comment on what i used,which was E36 M50 arms and E34 rubbers.
Cant see why E36 M52 arms cant be used as the M50/52 externally are practically the same size engines.

i have a look and got the full part number for these bushs wich is 11 81 1 133 364 and thay fit 34 525 1989 to 1995 i well need to saf tomoz and get some ordered and post up how much thay are :)

i got the monts to day from gsf thay wos £51 and got the engine in to day but the gearbox sits a lot forever back than the 1.6 box did not have my 2.5 prop to hand to day so u have to shorten the prop for it to fit ?

started the car for the fust time to day and it started fust time but number 15 to 15 on the pug keeps smoking and getig red hot eny ideas on y it is doing this ?
