Hello everyone
My names Tom, i'm not that new to owning bmw's, i've got a Z3 that i'm using as my daily and would like somthing a little more practical. So the obviouse choice was the e30 touring, classic looks bmw qualtiy and practicality! I've been having a look around the forum and there is some really wonderful cars that you lot own good work!
so I'm on the lookout for a touring and i am would like some help in choosing the right one, I am thinking the 2.5 petrol will be the way to go as the 2.4 diesel seem rare? where should i be looking for rust when i am viewing one, what parts wear out , what should i avoid etc etc
I like the m tech 2 bodykit, is this available for the touring, or fitted std to any tourings, is it even the same as the saloon? Has anyone got any pictures of tourings they like that might inspire me.
I will keep you updated on how my quest to be an e30 owner goes.

Welcome....
As a car painter you will not need telling to look for rust almost anywhere in the lower 6'' of the car....and in the scuttle corners and be very wary of rust bubbles in the roof just behind the sunroof.
Sound shell is everything now with these cars, all oily bits are available and are easy to fit/fix.
Diesel E30 was not officially imported to UK,nearest RHD market is Ireland, but most private imports are LHD.
