What to do with my old E30
Moderator: martauto
High guys,
Newbie here, was pointed here as the place for all things E30
I have an old (91/H) E30 325i SE
It has no MOT, the clutch has gone, but apart from that it is fine, has 148k runs well, however I have neither the money/time or inclination at the moment to get it fixed and MOT'd for sale
Is it worth advertising it, or would no one touch that with a barge pole? I am thinking of weighing it in, it seems a shame but I need it gone soon hence not stripping it for spares either
So should I advertise it and see if I get any interest, or would no one touch a car with no MOT and no clutch?

All depends on the condition of the rest of the car,
Where are you based?

E30's are at an age where body work is probably the most important thing.
If it has good body work, then it is probably worth fixing.
If it has rust issues, then probably better to break.

Not seeing rust is the problem, it's the areas you can't see that eventually seal the E30's fateReidy79 wrote:The car is in Blackheath S/E London
Condition is good/fair I guess, the bonnet needs respraying I would imagine as it is more pink than red
I cannot see any rust, which I understand is odd
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

When you say "the clutch has gone", do you mean completely, or is it still driveable?

Sure its not the clutch hydraulics as opposed to the clutch plate itself?
