Probably sell the interior, if the tyres are legal sell the wheels and just weigh the rest in - should get most of what you paid back and the rack will then have been free

Decided to give it a little clean today

started with the exterior quick shampoo and power wash down and some tyres shine did wonders with it. cant see the point in doing anything else as its getting resprayed.

After giving it a quick wash i did the engine bay with gunk, power washer then plenty of auto glym Tyre shine to finish it off, i also fitted a satin black rocker cover with polished bits. To my amazment i found this in the garage, forgot i had it

Image

also fitted this nice new washer bottle. it was originally fitted on my 318is for about 2 month, gave it a good clean was as good as new.

Car going for paint tomorrow, quite excited

Just been on the phone to the guy who is spraying it, he is going to remove a dent from drivers side wing, knock the dent out of the rear valance as best he can, and respray both sides, the front end and rear valance.

only bits he isnt doing is the roof and tailgate, however he assures me the paint will be an exact match and will blend in fine, plus he is going to buff all that up.

Off to tax it tomorrow first thing, tried online but wont let me, tells me vehicle class has changed??? and i need to do it at my local P/OFF prehaps the previous owner had a blue badge, being old and that winkeye

Will update middle of next week

:D :D

Sounds good, I was wanting to go tech II but couldnt justify the £500 for the kit

Ive took my kit off my grey 4door saloon fragger! Just need the time to prep n paint it tho!

I was up micks the other day, collecting my map light and rear electric windows! Got loadsa stuff to fit still, dashboard, OBC, lock set, leather gaiters, alpina reps, all kinds of bits and bobs sat in the garage!

Yeah I saw the thread about the meet, can't make the 20th as I've gotta go to a christening! Probably the only weekend day I am busy this month too! Typical!

Some excellent news, just had a text, if i go and help him fit the new panels back onto car today i can have the car today :D :D

These arrvied yesterday, should finish it off nicely.

Image

Ive also sourced some front seats, first set ive seen on ebay.de in ages, wish i had gone for purple there alot more common in touring guise. ignore the rest its only the front seats ive bought, hopefully i can source some bolsters. These are proper non folding touring seats too, which would be better than the cabby ones i was thinking of

Image

ive been assured its shining like a shit house door

Update later today :D

Back from paint, pics not brill makes the car look black but hey ho i'am not a photograher

Pleased with whats been done, for the price he didnt have time to take a few shopping trolley dents out so they do stand out like a sore thumb, and its got a bit of orange peel here and there but otherise you cant moan for £550. Even got all my doors lined up

few snaps

would have been ideal to remove it first, :P
wind the window right down and prise it off from the inside of the door so you don't scratch it !
