HI all,

Its been a while since I have been on this forum, must be a few years. I still have my E30 sat in my garage awaiting an engine conversion but I have so many projects on the go, its taken a bit of a back burner.

Anyway for the past year or so I have got involved with the VW scene and I started to sell wind deflectors at VW shows. Wind deflectors have been popular in Europe for many years and they are starting to catch on over here now as well.

They are particularly good for cars without aircon as they allowq you to have your windows open without getting blasted with turbelance. You can also allow frsh air into your car when its raining without gettung your door cards soaking.

Let me cut to the chase, whilst visiting my supplier in Germany I asked them if they are able to make them for E30s. They already have the tooling in place because they used to make them ages ago. If I order 20 pairs they will produce them for me. So I am testing the water here, they will be approx £35 per pair. If you want to see willl look like hers some on a Mk2 Golf, They will be similar to theseImage

Can get them for 2 and 4 door but no good for cabbies I am afraid as they fit in the window channel which a cabbie doesnot have.

I realise that, I was joking with you. Seems like a good idea, but a lot of OEM homos out there that won't appreicate the look. :D

I thought that you were Joking but you would be surprised at the amount of enquiries that I get from concertible owners LOL. I thought the same about "the purists" not liking the look of them but the fact of the matter is that they have been fitted to European cars for many years so these are about as Euro Look as you can get. The VW scene have really embraced them and I am also selling them to classic Mini owners and it would be nice to see them on E30s as well.

This can be an issue on the Cheaper Team Heko wind deflectors but mine have a superior fixing system so this problem is eliminated.

I'm pretty sure these are, or were available from the dealer so the OEM homos should be ok with them.

Each to their ownI suppose.

Some poeple buy them because they think that they look cool. Others buy them becuase they understand the benefits of having fresh air in the cab whilst driving. Many of my customers buy them for their campervans but once they have felt the benefits, they want them on all of the cars that they drive. They do make huge difference and even help to reduce road noise whilst driving with the windows open. I am sure that once you have driven with them, you will be won over.

i tried a set on my e30 moredoor, they look perfect but they drag the window forward towards the A pillar, thus not making a seal on the B pillar side of the window. What make are yours?

Mine are Dubflecta wind deflectors as seen on www.dubflecta.co.uk. Here is an independent review on my T25 camper deflectors http://campervanculture.com/2011/10/l-s ... or-review/

If you are still not convinced google them and I am sure that you will find many positive reviews from my customers.

Of course, once they arrive I will fit them to my E30 and test with electric windows to ensure that they will be fine. There is a little interest on here but not enough to make me buy 20 pairs yet.

For those of you who have 4 doors or tourers I can only supply them for the front doors.

I always offer a money back guarantee on my products. If they work fine on mine but not on yours then it can only be down to bad fitting or a faulty window mech. If they arrive and they are problematic on mine then i wont sell them to you, simples.
