m50 throttle water heating

im just wondering what sort of diffrence in running/performance wise id get if i blanked off the hose going to my throttle bit of advice anyone ? thankyou :)

Yes do it.
You'll get very small gains but as far as I know there is no reason at all for throttle heating in the UK climate. Colder air is denser, which is what you want, but you probably won't notice a difference in my opinion.

Piston aviation engines have carburettor heating to prevent iceing due to the venturi effect. In this case iceing is more a function of altitude and moisture than freezing air. Not sure if the throttle heating is for the same reason.

its throttle response that will be improved imo.... colder air passing through the throttle body ect

A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D

this is on tomorrows jobs to do then me thinks plug the hose up with a bolt lovely haha also ive been suggested on bimmerforums i think , this website for a turbo kit ive read alot about them but i dont really have the patience to collect bits im considering this and ill get a t3 garrett turbo of a pal and strengen the mani looking for around 350bhp with vems one thing would standard fuel pump and injectors be capable of this power increase on the m50 ?

You'd need to uprate the injectors, I believe the fuel pump is fine up to 300bhp ish? I'm pretty sure you'd need decent management as well to run it off.

I'm told that the internals on the m50 can take 400 bhp easy! I've seen these pumpin 5-600bhp but obv work needed there 8O

I reckon 8-10psi and decent fueling would see you 300-350 mate 8)

hmm ok well i could see about getting some cossy injectors to fit can anyone suggest a good fuel pump for the e30 ?
as for managment someone suggested gunni so when im at the stage i give him a shout as i have no experiance with aftermaket ecu / remaping im not too bad on wireing in , m50 loom was simple and ive done plenty others too :)
