Right i'm converting an early 4 cylinder to a later 6, i've got a complete donor car to use, but my problem is this:
the wiring looms are different, as theres no provision for the engine loom connector on the original early loom, would i be better cutting off the corresponding plug that goes to the fuse box and splicing it in, or taking out the entire loom?
any help would be welcome, as the donor car is going for scrap later, and i don't want to leave anything on it i'll need later.
many thanks, frank.

Researching further, it looks like I have a pre c101 car, reading on another thread it says I need the plug and about a foot of the wires, is this correct?
