This came up locally and i thought what the hell, it will be a good project for those winter nights coming up.
Its a diamond shwartz tech 2 sport with cloth. RHR, rear blind, 10 button OBC.
Its just had a complete glass out respray - 2 new wings, new sunroof panel and the usual welding in the famous places.
The previous owner got fed up with the building back up, and the mess of wiring etc so i stepped in...

Here she is with everything covered in the obligitory bodyshop dust....

First up i want to get her running again, then tackle putting the sunroof panel back into her.
Is there any online guides or info available on the sunroof? - does the cloth part get fitted before the main panel goes in, or do you fit it afterwards?

you fit the cloth part last Darren.

Make sure you time the motor up properly as they are set to stop at the right time when you tilt slide it back. If you get me. If you plug the motor in and press the button up or down it will suddenly stop. Its a case of more patiance to get the panel sitting right but fitting the cloth part can be a bit of a chore. There is a rail the long arms clip into. Don't wind the roof back as this rail gets pushed to the back of sunroof tray! But a long coat hanger type wire will pull it back out.

Nice project the refit of bits is the fun part in alot of ways! More fool him i'd say

The milage is 116k, and i will be happier when i hear it running....,,, i took a bit of a gamble, but in fairness my offer reflected this.

I have to say that the build up is the most enjoyable and rewarding part - but its also the most time consuming and frustrating. Ive already noticed a few 'bits' missing!

She is also running a Magnex 6 branch and system so it will be interesting to see how it sounds compared to the system on my C2.
