Hi all,
Been offered a m3 evo as a px for my daily, however it is rather leggy with 153k.
Due to its value my plan is to run it for a bit and then break it, which should result in a very cheap engine and box for the touring.(i still havent commited to which conversion for her)
Now I plan to do some trackdays and want to protect the engine from dramatic failure, so with the 153k thought she would benefit from some arp bolts and shells. Anything else worth considering? The m3 has got fsh and just had the vanos rebuilt.
To be honest although I'm pretty competant with the spanners but would prefer somebody else fit them.
How much would this cost and who is best recommended to do it? Im based in,the midlands but would travel if necessary.
Also anything worth looking at when check the car out?
Cheers in advance.

Surely the shells wont fit perfectly. They'll be new and the crank isn't. So you need to get the crank reground for the correct shells to fit.
Bolts are probably the easy option. Sump off, "maybe" need to remove the oil pump (dunno off hand) unbolt 1, put in new finger tight. Unbolt other, put in new. Torque to correct setting, rotate engine.
Rinse, Repeat.
2.5hours labour should cover it easy.
