Hi just a quick question, in the prosess of restoring my e30 325. i am intending on using it for track day fun. i have fitted coilovers, better lsd, drilled and vented disks, polybushes, stainless exhaust. I am at a bit of a stumbling block regarding a roll cage i am fitting one mainly for saftey reasons, the added stiffness will be a bonous. I am looking for advice on the differences bolt in weld in or both, and obviouly prices and different makes etc, any help will be great and i will get some pictures up as soon as i can. many thanks Tim

the bolt in ones from safety devises have weld in box sections and floor plates
they are the best around and an excellent fit, ideal for what you want

I have got a mate in margate that might have one for sale pretty soon for an E30 track day car.
i think its an OMP bolt in one but you could weld it in and add additional bars for strenght and tag to the shell to stop any movement/more rigidity.
will keep you posted.

The latest 6 point SD cage is about £800. After spending so long fcking about with an older cage and modding it to fit how I want, I now wished id have just bought one of these for an easy life
