I have taken an entire stereo loom out of an E34 and going to put it into my E30 to replace the shoddy wiring that some cowboy has put in it.

The loom is compatible as far as i can work out on realOEM

What i need to know is where the power socket that the loom joins on to would be found before i take too much apart.

Also need to know what the plug in second picture is and where it may plug into, i'm guessing it may be the electric aeriel.

This is the power plug

Distrubution block end of an E30 loom doesnt look like that.
E30 one is White 4 pin plug,3 pins in a row and the 4th sligthly offset.

To answer your Q though,it plugs into the White distubution block behind the glovebox.

Oh, ok. Well looks like i need to find a proper E30 loom of maybe do some splicing. I'm more familiar with E34's TBH. Did the E30 loom ever come with this fitting for the head unit?

Thats the connector for the BMW head unit i want to fit. (I like OEM)
