Hi all,
Anyone knows if the bumpers and all that are interchangeable ??- so that the chrome can be removed.
been having a look around the forums and didn't find it, so jost pointing in the right direction will do! - when I entered dechrome or chrome in the search option some much came up !!

I know the front end can be swapped from a chrome bumper to the facelift stuff quite easy, as i have this myself on my previous E30, but the back end is not straight forward. There is a lot of modding to be done.
Pete don't care about colour, He would shag a rainbow if he could find the end of it....

do you know whats involved ? It is precisely the rear bumper I am keen in removing, as I think its not practical at all and its so F*#%ing fragile !!!

I know that making a hole in the bodywork needs to be done to accept the shocker that the facelift bumpers are mounted on. It is a right royal PITA, thats why not many have done it.

so the problem would be the absorbers. I see why this would be a problem. Thanks for this info mate
i am still going to try and see if its viable, or at least try a kit that would accept the mounting issues...
Cheers !

It also would not fit very well as the rear wheel arches are different on early and late cars.
The best bet is to get an m-tech one kit
You can get side skirts as well...
Fits straight on and looks way better!
This is what a m-teck 1 looks like...

the links are fine now, thanks !
.
I have seen that car before in this forum, it was for sale... Are you the seller?? I think it was the look of this car that made me decide to change the bumpers !!!
Mine its royal blue, and I think with something like that would look much better, and would be easier to clean, lighter and less fragile

twas my old m10.
You can pick up a good m-tech 1 kit for under well Ԛ£200....
They look the dogs in royal blue, but keep the chrome bumpers (as in my front bumper, rather than my painted rear)
