thats "On the road again"

got 4x Nankang Ditchfinders for Ԛ£104 and had enough left over for the roadtax :D

took it upto college and got the tyres fitted, so it actually clears water

Had it up on the 4post ramp and had a right good root about, The Lecturer dude (MOT tester to trade) said that it was "very, very clean" with no signs of welding or corrosion issues on the underside. It did look rather tidy-original Underseal is still undamaged :D

He said that there were 3 things it may fail next MOT on

1. Front right Balljoint (getting new wishbone next week)

2. Exhaust backbox corroded to excess (Knew about that and getting part in 2 weeks)

3. Rear ARB bushes looking a bit "suspect" (currently looking at getting a set of powerflex for the whole car!

Needless to say, I did 50+ miles today, including a 14.9 mile trip from parents to my flat (its 2.1 miles if you go the direct route!)

Anyone got any info on the best place to get wishbone/exhaust and bushes?

good to hear the bad boy's back on the road 8)

try SDL in parkhead for the exhaust, they're normally quite reasonable, and euro car parts for the rest, or BMW if you can get trade discount

Try www.gsfcarparts.co.uk

They do a cheap option, and a slightly more expensive (better) option for the wishbone from what I remember. Go for the slightly more expensive one! About Ԛ£40 odd.

Bmw is closer to Ԛ£100.

Not too bad mate, she'll be on the road soon.

Correct ones are a lot more than that from BMW or GSF - Should be aluminium ones on a touring - but I've never come across one that still has them!
Don't spoil a good car with powerflex. The OE rubber axle carrier bushes are designed to allow a small degree of rear wheel steer.
Only rubber to upgrade is the front control arm bushes for M3 ones, and useE46? something or other rear damper top mounts if yours need changing.
