Toureti - it seems like you ARE jay's mouthpiece on here as he is clealy feeding you what words he wants to say here...
I saw John today and quite frankly if you are not in Fact him, then YOU have been sold a dummy here mate...
What you write above is sheer nonsense...
the E46 M3 deteriorated from the moment it left Jasons hands, producing worse and worse horsepower and fuel economy until it hardly ran at all.. .have YOU spoken to its actual owner? no... only Jay.
the point is this: you CAN install a map from the later MCoupe engine onto the E46 M3 if you are incompetent enough (one thing we should all agree on here) as the engines are (for the late model MCoupe and ZM3) exactly the same engine as in the E46 M3, so Toureti you are AGAIN wrong on that one too! And when BMW themselves looked at it THEY confirmed that this was what had happened, not heresay - FACT.
Now what appears to have happened is because the late MCoupe and M3 are the same engine but have a range of different sensors etc, Jasons handywork it seems probably over voltaged some crucial sensors and systems outside of the ECU as after spending now over Ԛ£3k of HIS OWN MONEY to correct Jasons work, even with the new ECU the car wont run right... now the fact of the matter unless absolute lies are going to be bandered about, is this:
When John asked Jason if he could do this work in the first place Jason categorically said he had done a few remappings on E46 M3's. This he ADMITTED to John, we subsequently know was untrue... this was his first.... so thats one thing to be clear on, secondly, when John first told Jason about the problems with what he had done he offered to put the car back to standard, then when (having lost considerable face to the customer and time to this saga) John got the customer to go back to him, despite promising to return the car to standard Jason was not at home and said "Im on holiday" when he was rung up by John, again making John look a proper charlie AGAIN when John COULD have sat back and just let the customer deal direct with Jason, but as those that know John will confirm, he's too nice a guy and put himself in the middle thus making himself responsible for this when Jason pulled a fast one...
Then despite the fact that John had done nothing wrong himself except to believe what Jason told him as the truth (and sadly to hire him in the first place which he admits was a mistake) about his experience of mapping this model of M3, john said "I will shoulder 50% of the expense of sorting this out if you shoulder the other 50%" - totally reasonable, I wouldnt have done, I would have taken much less charitable action personally! the upshot as of today? John has paid out 100% of the costs and the car is STILL not right... the saga continues...
Now none of what i wrote above is a lie, it is all fact, the facts of the mapping can be confirmed by the BMW dealer that has the car now, the fact of Jason offering to reset the car to normal and then not being there is also able to be confirmed by the cars owner (who is not like Johns best mate, certainly not NOW or anything) and by Johns usual guy who remaps all his customers cars...
And I understand despite this all being true and in MY opinion Jason knew that resetting the ECU would not take the car back to how it was, is why he did a runner...
So listen, toureti, whoever you are, dont you lecture me in PM's about being ashamed of myself for my accusations, YOU should check your facts with someone other than the person who purpetrated these shocking examples of incompetence before taking John to task as the guy ( AS USUAL) has had the total rough end of the stick and gone WAY beyond what is fair or reasonable JUST to sort this out, as thats the stand up kind of guy he is and always has been ok?
And as for Jason then after lying about his experience mapping this car, bodging the job, then TOTALLY letting john down on resetting the car and making him look totally a fool in front of the customer by not being there, OR failing to take care of his mistakes and even meet John half way... to THEN start bending Johns ear about how I shouldnt be slating him on here, man thats just TOO MUCH!
its all justified and deserved, its driven John to his wits end this has, Jason should be ashamed of HIMSELF... its as simple as that.
Now this is a thread about MY project ok? So lets get back on track, thats my final words on this subject and I will not stand by and let you (Toureti) use this thread to put about any more nonsense and outright lies about this saga to try and salvage Jasons deservedly damaged reputation.
My car is actually coming on great, I saw it today and when Zoom relaunch themselves out of their fantastic new premises in the new year and its completed, I look forward to showing all of you that have supported the project and Johns frankly heroic efforts to turn what was when he got, it a heap of dogpoo, into a totally badass ride, just HOW badass it is...
and as for this debate about the inlet manifold, John didnt just come up with that design on the back of a fag packet, what do you take him for? What he did was make an exact copy of Hammans carbon fibre intake system but made it from Ally instead to keep costs down, the fact it that it DOES work, none of his converted engines run lean on #6 cylinder or have shown any indication of such or damage and as Kos said, IT WORKS!!! It contributes somewhere between 15-25 BHP to the 3.2 engine and that is easily confirmable!! Take any design issues up with Hamman ok?
Oh and as if Jason's idiocy and shocking lack of spine over the remapping incompetence is not enough, its like REALLY class that he's also telling all and sundry including Total BMW mag who did the article on his Zoom 3.2 Cabrio that the motor was in fact HIS installation and HIS work, not Zooms...
Classy mate REALLY classy... what's next for this guy? why not just go the whole way and kick John in the goolies to finish of a really admirable few weeks of lamentable actions on your part!?? Sheesh!!! _UN_Believable...

Fcuk me mate. That must have taken you ages to type:D At the end of the day, none of us on this forum really knows what went on. Only you, John and Jay know the truth so i for one wont make any more comments about it. Like you said, this thread is about your car and that's the only thing i'm interested in, so that's the only thing i will comment on if i have anything constructive to contribute.
I just cant believe how much bad luck one person can have. Are you sure you didn't shag Satan's wife in a former life and are being punished for it now or something?
I just hope it all gets sorted so you can at least start the new year with all this behind you. Well done for staying so positive dude, cause i know i would have given up way, way back

Bootyman - dude of ALL the people on the Zone you have been a lone constant positive and sympathetic voice mate! For that im very grateful!
As for the issue i said is for me now closed, true, but i know John VERY well now, im not just a punter and i saw the effect this nonsense was having on him and still is..
you think *I'VE* had bad luck? man you dont ever want to sit down with John from Zoom and get him to tell you whats happened to him in the past 5 years and the last 10 months in particular... thats why im very happy about my car regardless of the fact that its only gonna be finished when Zoom move into their nice new industrial unit because this issue im not discussing anymore was almost the last straw for John, he takes his work to heart so much and unlike 99% of the industry adds a really personal touch and gets so involved, that to be had over this way so blatently and in many other ways this year, your heart has to go out to him.... anyway, my car looks the bomb and mate, the angel eyes we discussed AGES ago do work really well and ive got the whole technique down great now so if you want a set doing, just pick up a set of second hand lights somewhere for Ԛ£30-Ԛ£60 and i will sort a set for you ok?
I think the parts come in at about Ԛ£30 total maybe slightly more but let me know if you want the 2.5mm wire im using or the wider 5mm that John is having on the Mcoupe...
the wider the wire though the LESS bright it comes out....
Cheers

I've got a brand new set of Bosh ones somewhere. I'll PM you when i'm back in the UK and send them off to ya. It will be good. I've been looking forward to them for ages now
Like i said i spoke to Jay and even he said your car looks fantastic, so looking forward to seeing the finished product. Mate remember i had a space for you for Max Power Live way back in July cause we thought the car was going to be done by then. Who'd have though 5 months later we'd still be talking about this !!! Ho well, at least things can only get better now

Message from Jay.
I have said from the start that I would cover the cost of getting the car to an indipendant bmw dealer to have the work checked and if my fault would pay in full, i nevcer did a runner and met john at my home after him missing 2 appointments first.
I am not a liar and have acted honourably from the start.
I suggest you all contact Roy and CA Automotive about john at zoom motorsport and he will tell you straight who he would beleive.
John is in it up to his eyeballs and i am disgusted he would drag me into this after all the help and work i have given him over the past 18 months which comes to thousands.
As of yet i am still to be paid for the work i have done for john.
Also, I have never at any point told anyone ever that i did the conversion, this is another lie.
Call Roy at CA

I keep getting drawn back into this Jay... i keep saying i wont but still do! because you dont see John (unlike you) on here desparately tryinng to put the blame squarely on your shoulders do you? Im simply arguing for what i was told by 3 separate people as opposed to your sole defensive story, and i was told way before i even knew this was a big issue... i have no vested interest here, i am a customer and remember i got on with you and thanked you kindly for taking me out way back at the start of my project in your car....
i heard about the CA Automotive farce MONTHS ago so its not news to me, again, that was an example like this of John putting himelf in the middle AGAIN and getting the rough end of the stick... CA Automotive already had a bad rep so it was hardly newsworthy when i found out about the M5 engine fiasco way back when...
You and John speak regularly so how is it possible that you and he differ so hugely as to the facts here?
But im not going to give my further opinion on the points you raised above Jay and you wanna know why? Because as i said this thread is ABOUT MY CAR PROJECT not open season on john or you or anything else, I edited out what i had said openly about you but mouthpiecing through Toureti and sounding off about John is just gonna do you more harm than good, thats my advice anyway, because no matter what mud you try and sling, he has a WAY better reputation which is well earned, than you do and gainsaying everything he has told me and told you on the phone (i know that he has) is gonna harm you more than him, i mean you dont see HIM joining in here do you?
I am a customer of Zooms, thats all, and have as many people think i should, a good reason to side with you as my car has been hugely delayed as you know, but the reason im not is because its cock ups like with this E46 M3 that have delayed my car while John goes around sorting out other people's goddam mistakes and dishonesty and apart from that im sorry, but you did put the wrong map on that car as otherwise WHAT ELSE happened? Are you saying it was aliens or pure coincidence that it happened after you worked on it? It also means you are saying the conspiracy against honest-old-Jay involves not only John, ben, Anthony, me, Wayne but ALSO a BMW dealer itself... wake up mate!!! You would save yourself ALOT more face and earn more respect by simply saying sorry and helping to sort your mess out than denying it and throwing mud wherever you can back at John like some spoiled brat!!!
Also i notice you are silent on the issue of lying to TOTAL BMW magazine about the genesis of your conversion? Funny that everyone isnt it? Why? because its there in f-ing black and white so you just CANT lie your way out of that one can you? So given you DEFINITELY porkied it there, who are we best to believe on the issue of the Remapping farce?? Someone who has been straight up with me and everyone else during much longer in the business than you and to whom i have no motivation to defend on grounds other than plausability and basic integrity and good character... especially as i have incurred unavoidable delays on my project and hence most expect me to lay into John as you are!!! Or someone that can be shown to be lying and also pretty savagely unfair (not saying your cabrio was done by John which is was!) on another issue involving the very same man/company???
I will let the rest of you weigh that tricky (not) one up....

oh come on...cant you read? if thats the case why is it that putting the car back to standard didnt rectify it when JOHN not JAY had to do that?
Answer... because it was the duff map that in all likelihood messed up a variety of other sensors and systems thats why!!!
hmm... who to believe, a mapping expert with FAR MORE repute than jay (i.e Wayne) AND an independent (in terms of siding with anyone party here) BMW garage OR Jay...
who as i said HAS just lied about the very conversion ZOom did for himin the first place...
Ooh thats a tricky one!

Jay has just spoken to john on the phone who has confirmed the car is now fixed after a new air intake was fitted.
This was the problem all along and although Jay never fitted it Jay is going to cover the cost of the intake so please get your facts right mfree as you are rubbishing the good name of a company here.

nothing about the TOTAL BMW article i see, you are silent on that...
listen, you are acting like a carrier pigeon from jay to this thread as i undertand Jay was barred from the Zone yes?
Forget riubbishing a company, its Jay, a Sole Trader and try to display SOME semblance of intelligence yes ? if he just spoke to John JUST NOW and this is NEW information, given that as i said, i am not acting on anyones behalf to defend them (unlike you, patsy) and hence i dont have a batphone connection to Zoom at all hours of the day, how the hell COULD i know this supposed 'fact' (supposed as you were wrong about everything else to this point) until i either happen to call John or he calls me?
So your quip about getting ones facts straight AGAIN just displays more and more of your silly attitude... engage brain before running off your mouth or fingers yeah? T H I N K. And if Jay has agreed finally to do the right thing and not leave John in the lurch, well all i can say is 'bravo' and better late than never, it beats digging yourself into a deeper and deeper hole i guess!
Ok so now you have no reason to write in this thread again as the mouthpiece role is presumably done with as far as your deal to voice jay's views here directly is concerned right?
Maybe we can return to the subject of the thread now?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, so as you all know I bought a set of 5 AC Schnitzer type II 3 piece rims for the car (yes 5 which is very unusual) which are all mint, totally mint and originally cost over Ԛ£600 a rim new, well im now selling them as i always wanted the BBS style splitties but couldnt find a set in 17" where the rears where wider than the fronts, 10" and 9" or so, well I spotted a set of these very very rare rims on one of Johns cars when i was visiting him yesterday and being the stand up guy he is, he's letting me have them for a very reasonable price!
So the very desirable set of 5 Schnitzer rims with tyres are for sale!!!
They are all 9" wide with anE36 offset i cant remember exactly but ive seen them fit on the E30 M3, E36 and E34 too...
Im after Ԛ£1000 for them, i was offered that 6 months ago but i wasnt at all interested in selling them back then as they were the best thing i could get and ARE very rare especially to find 5 in mint condition...
Anyone interested then please PM me...
Cheers

They are all 9" wide with anE36 offset i cant remember exactly but ive seen them fit on the E30 M3, E36 and E34 too...
Im after Ԛ£1000 for them, i was offered that 6 months ago but i wasnt at all interested in selling them back then as they were the best thing i could get and ARE very rare especially to find 5 in mint condition...
Anyone interested then please PM me...

cant see them getting a lot of exposure in this thread

Jayson/tourerti, come on over here
Let me hold you for a little while
And remember I'll always love you
Forever
Everything changes but you
We've said goodbye, the taxi cab is waiting
Now don't you cry, just one more kiss
Before I have to go
Hey Jay I know the situation changed
And so much is new but something in my life
Remains the same cos
Everything changes but you
We're a thousand miles apart
But you know I love you
Everything changes but you
You know every single day
I'll be thinking about you
The rumors true, you know that there've been others
What can I do, I tell you baby they don't mean a thing
Now tourerti don't go and throw our love away
I'll be home soon back in your arms to hear you say that
Eveything changes but you
We're a thousand miles apart
But you know I love you
Everything changes but you
You know every single day
I'll be thinking about you
Everything changes but you
We're a thousand miles apart
But I still love you
Everything changes but you

To mfree from Jay.
your an idiot with little to no brain power whatsoever, i dont need to do the right thing as i never did the wrong thing, john fitted the wrong filter to a car after i first told him not too.
he was told not to do this on more than one occasion to which he didnt take note.
I also didnt get paid for the remap which was not the problem all along so what have i done wrong ?
i did nothing wrong, i supplied a map which was fine and the filter caused the problem.
i have agree to cover the cost of an original intake because i supplied john with the kit he fitted to the m3 now thats good service and i think maybe i am the only company in the uk who would go this far to make a customer happy.
bearing in mind i have not been paid to start with !!!!!!!
Now for total bmw, i sold the car ages ago and have at no point ever stated to anyone i built it, in fact 4 people have gone to john for the same or similar conversions as a result of me passing on his details and he can confirm this.
look on any forum and see for yourself, i have always said john did the work as EVERYONE here and on every other forum knows.

when john did your car, about 12 maybe 18 months or so ago you put a post on the zone saying it was your work, syaying you were going to do the gumball rally?? remember, then john joined up and put it straight saying it was his conversion his work NOT YOURS
go back to the hole you crawled from and leave the mapping to the pros such as superchips, amd, mr ahmed bajoo (cossie bloke).
every one knows about johns "bolt on conversion" so 4 customers going to john via you isn't any big deal. they'd hear about it very easily as it was advertised in PBMW and TBMW.
Mfree is a top bloke, as is john who have both been thru a lot off crap.
SO GET A LIFE AND BUGGER OFF, Mfree doesn't want you on "his page"

[BIG HIGH FIVE]
Indeed... and Jay, how is it then that the BMW dealer also backed u...
oh forget it... this bores me, you bore me, i remember you saying BMW's bored you and you were getting a 911... says it all!
Hey Kos, I Notice no-one has come back on about the inlet manifold issue since i posted after talking that through with John...
Im gonna get my motor sorted and have the Vanos off it and get it mapped by Wayne who has never messed up a mapping yet for Zoom. Oh hang on there's that other guy who does remapping isn't there? oh no my mistake, that guy was a total plank of wood if i remember right and anyway didnt he go out of business due to sheer stupidity?
Cheers for your lone support Kos, John has been thru a living hell during the LAST 12 months, and it was a bad scene on and off for years before that too! I tell you given all the bad luck and exploitative wangers who have passed thru of late,

How is it then that at every rolling road event over the past 2 years the cars that have given the highest power have been done by Jay.
His programmer wrote the original code for the m3 on the e36 so that says it all, this is not guess work, check the magazines for proof of this.
Also there is no thread anywhere on any forum ever to suggest Jay said he did the conversion himself, Jay is in fact bored with the e30 as it is an old car now and has moved up to newer cars but that doesnt mean his work isnt top notch.
If you people know so much then you must be able to show evidence of his shit work here for people to see surely? its all very easy to say this and that but without proof you make yourself look foolish.
The last 8 rolling road events through total bmw, performance bmw and bmw car magazine have had the cars Jay mapped come top in every one.
Thats not guesswork, thats fact.

Also, mfree, if you continue to lie to people about Jay as your clearly speaking on behalf of John at zoom then Jay has said he will withdraw his offer to bail John out of the money problem he is in now so your handy work here will backfire bigtime.
In fact half way through typing this I have called Jay and he has told me to tell you, unless you call John to confirm that it was in fact the inlet system that caused the problem and then confirm it in this thread Jay will not bail John out.
Its down to you mfree to tell the truth now.

FFS. Can you lot start using PM's to sort out your dirty work please cause this is getting out of hand now. This thread as said is about one man and his desire to build his dream car, so lets just keep it at that. I dont no John at Zoom, but it's obvious there's a crossed wire somewhere between him and Jay. That's why i sugessetd getting the 2 of them together and solving the problem that way Mfree cause all this he said, she said crap isn't doing John or Jay's business any good and frankly l dont really want to know. I just want to see Mfree get his car finished so he can enjoy it like i enjoy my car and that's it.
If this continues then the Mods will no doubt lock this thread and that would be a shame cause this is Better than Eastender and i'm waiting for the day when i can log on and see the words "THE CAR IS NOW FINISHED"

Guy's keep this on track now please, it's been a good thread so far.
tourerti/Jayson call whoever you need to call yourself and sort out your own problems.
Mfree try and keep the chat about your car, ok i know you're having problems but naming and shaming isn't going to help this discussion out.
Cheers guys

I agree. I'm totally bored with this...I think its about time this thread got back on topic
so what is left on your car before we see it ripping up the streets MFree
is it likely to be at any meets?
Well, in essence all that is left to do is the interior which we have, the engine loom and hooking up the EWS and all of that (which again was done at some point before) and the bodykit...
But as i have said before there are other factors involved in when this is completed now...
Can you strike anything off that is off-topic (or rather on the Jay vs. John topic) from here on as there really is nothing left to say, i could argue till the cows come home but im bored and everything has been said very eloquently by Kos and myself...
Cheers

Buster I presume you mean that question? Are you going to be using the zoom intake and how do they get around the removal of the MAF , Running etc ?
I am using the Zoom intake, as i said before, this intake is basically an Ally copy of Hammans one... it is true about the size of it and it only breathes properly when the car is moving really as it is quite small but this doesnt affect tickover... I dont know about the MAF but it all works, i dont know what MAF stands for!!! Jay himself had it running on his 3.2 before he chipped it and it ran fine, also with Zooms exhaust on and a remap for this kit he saw over 340bhp on a rolling road which for those engines which usually come in LESS than 300 and no higher than about 310 (often as low as 280-290) thats a testament to how well it works...
Cheers

p.s Kos - you crack me up man... your postings back there made my laugh like a drain... look forward to putting my ride up against yours soon....
