Chassis Numbers - Last 2 door E30?

Hi - I've a J-plate 325i 2 door which I assume must have been one of the tail-enders and I'm looking to see if there is any guide as to the chassis numbers so can see how late?

I know cabs and tourings were produced for longer?

I'm just being geeky..

Checkout the VIN

digits 4 to 7 are the build code.

cross refer that to the list in the pdf in the link to see how how late...

Ha mine was made November 1990, but only registered 01/08/1991 (so when someone thought they were getting an new 325i, it was already 9months old..)

AlpineCab, thanks for the Russian link. That shows (if I read it right) that for an "AA12" there were three ranges of chassis numbers, dates for which I can pull from the VIN decoder..

Manuals:

AB32 = 325i 2 DOOR CHASSIS RANGE - 0855001 - 0860000
(July87 to Aug 88 )
1112/AA12 = 325i 2 DOOR CHASSIS RANGE
- 3580001 - 3580896 (July 1987 - January 1989)
- AE52000 - AE55192 (Jan 1989 - August 1990)
- EG23000 - EG23369 (March - Nov 1990)

Mine's EG23364 - so fifth from last..

Autos:
1242/AB42 = 325i 2 DOOR AUTO CHASSIS RANGE (September 1985 -July 1988)
1122/AA22 = 325i 2 DOOR AUTO CHASSIS RANGE - 2755001 - 2755288 (Oct 1987 - Jan 1989)
- AE69000 - AE69765 (Jan 1989 - August 1990)
- EG28000 - EG28119 (March 1990 - December 1990)

So I shall ignore autos.. A quick look at the 4-doors shows there were some of them also built in November 1990 - so I'm going to ignore them too. And the fact that the Russian site also doesn't seem to include LHD cars.

And until someone else can prove otherwise - I am going to claim I own the newest surviving E30 325i 2 door RHD manual..

This should add at least 50p to the value of the car..
