So... this is probably a question that has not been asked on here before..

I currently have a M42 318is....

and i was wondering if a 1600 bottom end would mate to the head - no i know that you are all probably wondering why.. but its to do with racing classes.

so basically, has any one ever fitted a 318is head to a 316 (1600 bottom end) if so - what issues are there, or can it be a relativly simply task?

thanks.

I'd advise checking that the cranks are the same between them40 and the m42 before you get any parts :D
