Finding my way round my 1987 D plate 325i Auto.
I'm struggling to establish which fuel injection system I have in my car - Motronic or L-Jetronic.
I have 2 relays by the Oxygen sensor, and the ECU is Bosch, and doesn't say Motronic on, as the photo in my service manual shows.
The Manual is a US publication, and says that all 6 cylinder cars came with Motronic, but my UK Haynes manual contradicts this.
If it is L-Jetronic can it be chipped.
Help please !

E30 in need of wiring loom smoke since April '11...

the control unit will say motronic, the fuel injection system is L- jetronic. the older system as fitted to e 21 has a distributer type fuel pump,{seperate fuel pipes from pump to injectors} was K-jetronic.
