Hi all.

I have an Australian delivered October 1988 build 325is.

I just went to order a set of eibach springs, and find that there are 2 part numbers listed for my vehicle, with the change over date as October, 1988.

Vehicles post 10/88 are supposed to weigh an extra 40kg on each axle. I don't recall any new models coming out in Nov. '88.

Which set do I get?

Part number 2003-140 (825kg/905kg fr/rear)
OR
Part number 2019-140 (865kg/945kg fr/rear)

Quite confusing really. I've already purchased a set of Bilstein Sports shocks, so any comments on the choice of springs? I'm in my 50's, not a racer, but I tend to drive "enthusiastically" when the plod isn't about.

Also, any comments regarding sway bars? The rear bar is 16mm the front is 20mm (Mtec sports suspension from factory).
No decision is incorrect when made - but it does become apparent in retrospect...

Must be different springs for pre and post facelift which had the change over in '88 (I think). Post facelift has plastic bumpers.

Stock BMW springs are/were available in a variety of spring rates to allow for differing spec...air con equipped cars have a different front spring to non air-con cars, for example.

I would be inclined to order the second selection,if I were in your position.

My understanding is the facelift was 1987.
What is the relevance of Oct '88?

Which ones do I get?

Roughly the date that power steering became standard, so a slight weight increase.
