You'd be surprised. I've seen a number of cars there that are like that. It looks tired but its better then alot of rubbish in the UK.kolee wrote:There is something really not right about this.
Japan has very strict laws about what can be run on the road and this does not look clean enough.

They do, but it's extra kudos out there to be driving a European car with LHDskidsolo wrote:I thought they all drove on the same side as us?

Contrary to what dealers that sell Jap imports may tell you, they are not all low mileage one owner minters !kolee wrote:There is something really not right about this.

Most Jap imports have little in the way of rust prevention underneath - check out the underside of a Jap Import Mitsubishi - virtually no underseal or wax - just painted body colourpacerpete wrote:Contrary to what dealers that sell Jap imports may tell you, they are not all low mileage one owner minters !kolee wrote:There is something really not right about this.

That's because the climate is so mild - they don't need any more than that. BMW's for the jap market are German built and are properly finished. I had a 1993 E36 Coupe Nip Import 2-3 years ago and it was utterly mint underneath - you could literally wipe the dust off it to reveal an as new car.capri_rob wrote:Most Jap imports have little in the way of rust prevention underneath - check out the underside of a Jap Import Mitsubishi - virtually no underseal or wax - just painted body colourpacerpete wrote:Contrary to what dealers that sell Jap imports may tell you, they are not all low mileage one owner minters !kolee wrote:There is something really not right about this.

Even though Bryn has 'gone straight' I'd have imagined he'd have been all over this in 08pacerpete wrote:Contrary to what dealers that sell Jap imports may tell you, they are not all low mileage one owner minters !kolee wrote:There is something really not right about this.

I don't know what any of that means???Barx325i wrote:Even though Bryn has 'gone straight' I'd have imagined he'd have been all over this in 08
Cheers,
Bryn.
Andy said you were winding down performance legends in favour of contracting especially after the winter we had last year.. It just surprised me this wasn't in your collection, with it being imported around the time you were bringing in stock, you were always keen on Buchloe cars..
Yeah ignore Andy, he was probably annoyed because he couldn't charge me rent any more! I just moved premises that's all, indoor for this winterBarx325i wrote:Andy said you were winding down performance legends in favour of contracting especially after the winter we had last year.. I've seen countless B10 3.5 autos for sale in Japan over the years and guess how many I've bought... absolutely none. Nice cars but no market for them really. The B10 Bi-Turbo is more my kind of thing.
Cheers,
Bryn.
They're not my cup of tea, but then neither is the Bi-Turbo. I couldn't see you leaving it all behind. Andys' plot looked a bit bare, he probably misses the sea of executive barges & dismantled exotica, as well as the rent..
Yeah I guess when you've got £125k to spend a Bi-Turbo is probably a bit low rent
But seriously, anyone who doesn't appreciate them isn't really in to cars.
Cheers,
Bryn.
