So after 2 days of driving, one of my new top mounts is already broken. They were good quality febi e46 m3 cab items.
What are the options? I have looked at rpm, ireland and rogue. Rogue are winning at the min but are there any other options?

I've come across this loads of times where aftermarket dampers have been fitted! The problem arises because the usual OE dampers have the plate built into them as part of the dust cover, and gets binned, along with the old dampers.
The top mount doesn't have a hope of surviving long without the plate to feed loads into the rubber.

The link is for body reinforcement plates which I've yet to find are necessary. A cure for a problem that doesn't exist.

It's all sorted now. Brianmoooore was correct in saying that the shock covers were missing due to previous replacement suspension. The covers have a large steel washer at the top that was missing from my set up. It's hard to see when the parts are not there! I also can't see the point in them plates?
