compact diff into a E30

Does anyone know if a E36 compact 1.9 diff will fit a E30.

Yes, it will be a small case variety with a ratio of about 3.38.

Not 100% sure on the output flanges though.

I'm hoping to fit it to my 318is which has now got a E36 325 in it because with the original diff 1st gear is pointless.

I wouldnt do any heroic standing starts with it, there not that strong.

I have a 3.38 from a Compact already adapted to suit an E30 if your interested.
Nice quiet diff.

i used a 3.38 diff in my m20b25, useless POS, shattered within 3 days.

i managed to source a z3 2.8 diff (3.15) from a bm breakers in kent £180 delivered you could give them a bell see if they have another can't remeber the company name but the number was 01233713447
