i thought that trade plates covered you without mot providing the car had either just been purchased (transportation) or you was on the way to the mot centre to get the ticket done?

surley someone you know has a traders policy with trade plates ,ive flew into england loads of times and drove back cars with nothing but the smell of petrol in the tank but i had my mates trade plates and my traders policy never got hassled once

Na man im 18, i dont know anyone who works somewhere they would require trade plates. Also if you had read i state THE WINDSCREEN IS HELD IN WITH DUCT TAPE. Good idea though, if the screen was in properly it woulda been worth a punt

Why not get a pro to fit a second hand screen where it is and drive back, spend the change from the towing costs on your MOT.
