Picked it u from the lock.up an hour ago, battery was dead as i left the lights on a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully the 30 mile.drive to the mot station is enough charge!
An inch of dust covers it but it drove like a very wet dream. Fingers crossed it goes through first time. Give it an hour and i'll update this. Wish me luck!

Failed
O/s front brake pipe leaking. Quoted me 50 quid so i left it with them.
No other major advisories and I'm told it is amazingly clean underneath. Guess I have to wait till tomorrow to update further and get some pics up. (assuming he can source the lines quick enough)

ye, i have to give halfords their dues. MOT is half price this week, so it only cost me £27 for the test.
Just feel at a bit of a loss now, i had planned to spend the rest of this glorious day cleaning and polishing!
I really want to drive it some more. As it had no tax or MOT on the drive earlier i didnt want to risk getting pulled over for speeding.
On the major plus side i have had a look through the service history. Just before my boss bought it, it had a full major service, cam belt and 4 new mitchellinss!. it has coverd about 100 miles since!
Oooh, and its got a nasty tow bar on the back, so has probably towed a caravan or 2 in its day, still at least its a safe bet no 17 year olds have had at it!

Halfords are brilliant! Watch this space!
(if you hadn't noticed I'm a little excited)
ha ha nearly pi55ed myself............
I got a call at 4pm saying the parts were in stock, had been delivered and were being fitted to my car as we speak, pop down in an hour and it will be ready.
Sure enough 5pm and car was all MOT'd and road ready. I enjoyed my blast home and finally managed to get a few pics of the dirty dog:

A few buckets of water later and the dog is back looking more like a princess:

Its not all sunshine and roses though. She's not as rust free as i thought, appears the sneaky mudflaps been hiding it :

Just to add, there are a few small bits i would really like to get first off. If anyone has these bits, please let mr know.
1. Old style oval gear knob with gaitor (my gaitor has split.)
2. crystal/ white indicators and repeaters.
3. new badges for the wheels
4. the chrome trim around the windscreen
4. bonnet and boot badges
5. rear headrest comfort leather cream (if you can fade the leather the same as mine i pay extra!)
6. Rear chrome bumper (i can get a new one from BMW for £160 odd i think, but its a little steep)
7. Electric aerial- mine sticks half way down.
8. Passenger side rear quarter chrome trime.
I can get most from e-gay, but i would rather support zoners than randoms with copies from china. Cheers

i sell mobile phones, but my boss is a proper petrol head. I mentioned one day that i would give my left nut to own an 80's 325 and he came up with "i have one in my lock up".
6 weeks later he was finally ready to part with it- with the proviso i dont fack it up with boyracer bodykits (like i would! im no healthen!) and im not aloud to sell it- why would i its gods gift to the motoring world!
