Yes me again,
yes still with problems with the M52 :-x

right here goes..
recently put the cylinder head back on after doing the headgasket,
all went together perfect with no drama's,
Bled the cooling system and it went like a dream, bled up straight away,
now after a few days of driving it, I checked the levels
and there was no water in the tank on the side of the radiator,
strange...
filled it, started to bleed it once again and after 2 days I nearly gave up,
but continued with it, and managed to get it done,
but ...........

WTF!!!

When I checked the car this morning, the top radiator hose was nearly sucked flat ???

this is a new one,
anyone know what the cause?
I took the cap off and the water level was spot on

Oh yeah temp needle stays bang on in the middle.

Any help before I frag it?

Are you sure its getting sucked and not just deforming? Did it reshape after you took the cap off? Any whoosh of air? I cant understand how you could have a vacuum in the cooling system

You and me both mate, it's a new one on me, and my mates,

and it is definitely getting sucked in once its cooled it's self down,
when i take the cap off there is a little "whoosh" and the pipe breathes/opens up a little
but not to its true form,

only if i take the pipe off it goes back to it original shape :?

I'll make it do it again and grab a picture of it

just a guess but maybe something in the heater matrix is slowing the flow?
if you figure out which way the water is flowing might give you an idea?

the matrix has been bypassed,
there are no leaks anywhere
and the water is circulating.......

duff pipe?

It was ok before the headgasket went....?
