Soon to be buying a 323 E36 and couldn’t remember if it was the inlet manifold or the exhaust manifold you needed to change to get it up to 190bhp??

Anyone refresh my memory and how much does the relevant part cost?

M50B25 Inlet. Dunno how much they are but its a common mod so can't see it being silly money or hard to find.

328i Exhaust also to replace the single pipe system.

Make sure the 325i inlet manifold will actually fit onto your car. I know they're often fitted to the 328is for a bit more power but have to be modified first. www.e36coupe.com will have loads of useful info on this for you.

And I've no idea why there should be different MPG figures quoted because there's no such thing as a 323i Sport. The only 'Sport' model in the e36 range was the 328i Sport. There was a 323i 'Sport Touring' but that just had the 'Sport' body kit - same engine etc as a normal 323i as far as I know...!

That's a bargain when all said and done - is the ecu not a wise exchange? I thought mapping was also a 323 factor?

This is a 323 sport on the log book, would be nice to know if the car makes any more BHP than a normal 323i

M52 B25 were all 168BHP as far as I'm aware... nice looking car for a very good price, though. New bumper can be had for up to 150 quid but Boston Green might be tricky to find. Shame it's an auto though

engines are the same between sport tourings and normal ones. Never really understood why the mtec 323 touring was a sport on the v5 but the 328 not, reckon it's just an oversight. they go pretty well, quite a bit off a 328 and no better on fuel in the real world (mine's prob worse than my old 330ci!) but very smoooth and lazy to drive.
