http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-635-CSI-H ... 20bcf6970f

This is parked up in Longsight behind the BR maintenance shed, I've seen it several times whilst peeking through his fence.

It's not moved in years and the donor 635 is sat on a container with the number plate A635 BMW - I don't know if the plate has been removed or it was for fun.

Apparently the owner of the yard is/was a petrol head but looking at that E24 it's in a sorry state.

It looks like it could be worth a £1500 bid. In the best colour (Dolphin grey), on Hartge wheels and the wing that's visible looks okay. It will almost definitely require work involving a welder, but if you're set on an E24, that's the one to do. If nothing else it would break well - a pity when there are so few left.

A635BMW was not on that car or any other BMW.

Yeah I checked ASKMID and DVLA and no returns for A635 BMW.

I could do with another project like I need another hole in my arse.

I cannot imagine a car owned by someone who thought the acceptable fix for a shagged drivers seat was to replace both front ones with a pair that are the wrong colour, is going to be anything other than rubbish :(

Maybe he was going to get the ones he took out refurbished but then ran out of money/enthusiasm?
