just spent 234 quid on engine bits for the 318i m40 lump that will be goin in at end of month ....
purchased .....
head gasket set ....... 46 quid ...
head bolts 11.17
timing belt kit ..... 64 quid
clutch kit .... 73 quid and the rest be in vat ...............
picking the bits up tomorrow then time to start rebuilding engine ..and hopefully get engine out of red one this weekend so i can replace all brake pipes and check bulkhead and other bits and clean the engine bay up a bit
purchased .....
head gasket set ....... 46 quid ...

Seems a lot of expense for an M40 dude, you not fancy going M42 or 6 pot for a bit more poke?

yeh al do it now ...... thats gettin welded durin the week m8.....
well update on engine we started puttin the bottom end together yesterday , put all the new bearings in the bottom end .
just need to buy new sump gasket and crankshaft oil seal as well may as well do it all properly while the engine is out of the car thats why am goin to change all brake pipes as well

update ............
changed rear windows last night to the pop outs .... was quite easy once suses how to get old windows out me n lilred found that out lol
i also undersealed the underneath of the car last night the back end is now covered in the stuff looks much cleaner under there now
need to change the headlining and sunroof motor then its put engine in and paint bootlid for scotland

well engine is nearly finished but i have decided to give the engine a bit of a paint nothing bright just something to make it look cleaner . i will post pics up over the weekend as thats when al be next along there
