Hi zoners

I lost a wheel cover so got another minter off ebay for £20. Very pleased I was parked up in a local zoner's station car park for the day - in hindsight perhaps it was too visible a spot but this is no chavtown by any means! - and two wheel covers had been knicked by the time I got back. :x

The ones that were left were a little bit more tightly on but I was lucky they didn't go as well.

Is there a way to lock the standard covers or do you just have to run pina reps?? (they all have locks right?) Right now I've taken the other two off and will replace the missing ones but will only refit for photos and any potential sale.

Standard BBS 15''.

Cheers!

I was in the same boat years ago, had standard 15" BBS and the caps kept going missing. In the end i ran with no caps but stuck some of these over the hole to make it look a bit more presentable.

I have a pic somewhere, ill try and find it.

wheel covers?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0761347299

do you mean centre caps?

i have seen some drilled for a little torx screw to be fitted, but not very good really.

Alpina reps have pop-on (push fit), non-locking centre caps

p.s. for general use, you can use the plastic (E34) type (not worth stealing at all), although they do need a little modifying at the back to make them fit and then they need a squidge of sealant ideally (which needs re-doing every time you need to take the cap off, of course).
i fitted some to an old Touring of mine which came without the proper caps and they lasted until i sold the car.

Instead of the "pull off parts" in your garage. I'd be tempted to put the car in there winkeye

I remember using a load o silicone sealant to seal them on a while ago. And the made sure I carried around knife / flat screw drive to get them off again if needed. I actually think after a few of the clips have broken behind them the actually fall off pretty easy.

This is the risk you run when you park your car in any scum infested/frequented place for any length of time, if I need to park for any longer than 10 minutes out of sight I wont be in the E30

Id be fitting razor blades so they just protrude from the edges of the centre nut, 5 or 6mm so they bleed well

Anything like the alternatives to real caps posted above for Borbet B's? I've got just about no intentions of keeping the caps on the wheels (even with locking nuts) when she's back driving.

I'm after a set of bottletops(preferably with tyres, but would consider just wheels) , just to move the cabby around when it's off the road for winter - how much?

I'm thinking this - is 64mm the right size for the hub? For some reason posting on here is easier than getting off my arris and measuring err the hole winkeye
