Well ,as my previous questioning should I or shouldnt I, then with a bit of confidence to go for it and restore the car heres my 89 325isport which I picked up last week.I had the intention of doing some work to the car over the winter then having it in good shape for next summer.pretty standard with the usual Alpina reps...decided these will go and replaced with possible Rota RBs...but first I gotta tackle the inevitable rust..here goes.

so as you can see ive a fair bit to do......the rear arches will be fun as i dont wanna warp the quarterpanels...they have been repaired the "easy way" with fibre glass, but im gonna do it the proper way and weld plates..hopefully get all this welding done, then I will underseal and cover the whole floor pan in sealant..

that me for now   :P [/img]

Those areas are typical E30 grot spots.

As its a Sport you may have been told already to remove the bodykit and check underneath for rust - Make this a priority.

You also need to remove the wheelarch liners to check the state of the inner wings and get the glovebox out to check the state of the bulkhead where the wiring loom comes into the car - this is a very common area for rot.

Shame its frilly underneath - looks good otherwise - as they all do.

Nice to see another one saved though :thumb:

PS you can list more than one pic per post
