Hey chaps,

Just wondering if the forum had a recommended oil for the diff that people have come across as being the best? Am thinking of throwing millers stuff in if they do the right grade, but tbh, im not sure what grade and how much goes in. Could i be enlightened?

cheers! :)

edit: been a mong and forgot to put it's a 1990 325i Sport. (so has the LSD)

see...opie arent very specific i find. they've got different viscosities listed there and i know someone who put supersyn in and the diff whined like a wife...

Like i say, just wanted to know the tried and tested 'popular' ones that people have used when driving hard/on track that is good stuff, and how much i need.

cheers for the link anyways though...

This is what you need, I got it from Opie, a diff takes 1.7 ltrs, so you need to buy 2 litres.

My LSD used to groan a bit on low speed but tight turns, doesn't do it any more since I changed for the new castrol oil, this replaces the old SAF/XJ
