hi guys, so i've got myself a e36 328i engine, ive removed it from the vehicle which was a p reg coupe auto, just reading up on wiring and have realised that i need to eliminate bits of the loom which go to the autobox as well as the gearbox ecu, there isnt really a definitive guide on here just wondering if someone could give me some advice as to what exactly needs to be removed from the loom.

regards

Start at the big round plug for the autobox (don't confuse with the diagnostic socket or the engine loom plug) and start cutting. Follow all these wire to their source and cut them out.
