Well, i logged on here about 5 or so and i have just read this whole post, start to finish!

I didnt do anything like your level of build but i know your pain especially on the price of parts! completely crazy in some cases also i have noticed one dealer will tell you a part is NLA when another dealer orders it for me and calls in a few days to say come get it.

Did you feel the box for the spoiler was the most overkill ever!

Good luck with it.

C2 2.5 boot badge with discount was £106 and grille badge is NLA :(

Oh hell yea, and yet exclusive all important stickers can be had for a pound!

And the first one that arrived had to go back as someone stuck the part number sticker on the face of it!

Saw this tourer again today, the only thing that seems to be Alpina are the badges on the tailgate?

That comes up as a 325i Touring on the motor insurance and DVLA databases.

Pretty much all the UK built Alpina's come up with the base car type on those check things which are all based on DVLA info.

It's dark blue, but not Alpina blue. As I said, the only Alpina items I could see were the rear badges. It's on BBS's and has a stanard late front valance.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago at the bottom of the M3, todays photo was at Ringwood.

holy sh!t it could be!

Anyhow being a little impatient and keeping the ball rolling

Image

Pete wanted the radio back so i found this beauty. Its brand new and my mum bought it for me to put in my first car. I never used it but here we go!

Image
Image

I've hoovered out the 3 ton of female hair everywhere and fag ash from 4000 fags in there! came up ok. Unlike me i know but......

Image

To say the rack had a leak was an understement, p!ssing out was more like it. I just moved the car and this had come out!

Image
I had this rack in stock, from the scrappy out of a 320 i found with 27,000 on it!

Image
Image
old sack of sh!t out, look at the puddle that was after an hour to remove the old rack!

Image
Ever wondered why it sounds like your M20 tappets are in the cabin with you? This little black bung has probably fallen out the bottom of the steering column, hence the popular mod of stuffing tissue paper down the top end!

Image
Rackage in, i wish my wifes rack was this "easy" to work on

Image
How long was it shot for? ATF is everywhere! keeping that floorpan nice though innit

Image

Other side doesn't look too bad.

So this sh!tter should go through an MOT now no problem i think* hope.

Shouldn't the radio say 'WELCOME' and not just 'COME'? :?

I almost bought a 325i with this colour/trim combo in the late 90's - I was saved when I ran a HPi check and it turned out to have a somewhat moody history - was up for strong money too and the seller ( a dealer ) claimed he didnt know

I don't think the interior is that bad 8O blackcountrybimmerman had this combo with some poo-brown sports seats and it actually looked good :)

Can't be for a BMW, the pipes go the wrong way (towards the front of the engine), so presumably for a car with the exhaust ports on the left side of the donk?

Damn, you are right Lee. Good spot. It looked a similar design and I didn't look hard enough it seems! Its the three bolt flange that convinced me, although its been 6 years since I last had an m20!

Excuse my ignorance chaps! As you were...

Once the stock donk is swinging on the crane, will the bulkhead be feeling the warmth of the welding torch? Joking aside, that old turd is worth rescuing - it's a well historied 325i after all and the colour ain't that bad. Keep 'em peeled for a mint Bronzit door as well. Put it back to stock next year, and as you know it's 12-1500 quid tidied up.
Be a shame to see it pulled apart - bulkhead apart, it's a very good shell.

The bronzit turds previous rocked up today with the service book / paper work :)

Unfortunately that wasn't her main reason for dropping in, that would be to sort out the snagging list on the E36 318 shooting brake that I served her :(
