That kit isn´t going to work.

Those rear shocks will never ever fit in a E30

The kit will work this picture isn't exactly the actual kit. We have sold many of them now and it does fit! No worries

Hmmm. So for the fronts the top of the shock unit is threaded which allows a collar to be screwed on. This collar is threaded which allows a threaded insert to be screwed on which holds the adjustable collars that act as the lower spring mount? Is the existing top spring mount retained and the lower one cut off?

*edit the collar just sits on 2 washers at the top of the shock unit?

dont forget, you get what you pay for. got some shocks off these guys a while back, as i was tightening the rear, the fucking thread just snapped!
