The black you mention is Jet Black, Paul (sheps M3) has one in this colour (M3 Sport Evo) and he said it's a total nightmare to keep clean!!

You mention the different shades of colours, that's why I always advise people to ask at their dealers when they're asking what colour their own car is, BMW colours would occasionally change shades, this is what the second number means i.e. Brill red 308/01

my first e30 was a jet black 318i thats all i will say!

funny about the shades thing both my 325's are lachs silver, both facelift cars. One is 88 the other 89 and if they are the same colour, i'll eat sh!t for breakfast

I must take a photo of both parked next to each other to demonstrat this!

the colour on the front turret is they only way to tell for sure

i'll see if i can find some pics..........................

There was a guy asking about Daytona Violet a while back on the BMWCC forum, said he'd seen 3 touring's in this colour when he was in Germany, and according to the above list, it was available on tourings for a year only.

Boston Green was available on late touring's also, a friend has one on an L plate in this very colour.

Lachs silver is a tricky one, kinda depends on the light conditions, I've even had somebody think mine was gold in a certain light!!

God only knows, if your wallet was big enough bmw would of sprayed the car bright pink.

They now have an individual scheme where u can have any colour u want inside and out at a price mind.......................
