new brakes screeching

I fitted my new EBC Grooved and drilled discs and green stuff pads,
painted calipers and brackets,
I greased the edges of the pads and they where free in the brackets.
They where ok for a week but now they screech very loud

when hot or cold

performance brakes tend to mate you just have to live with it

im taking it they stop ok?

its all the time, people turn around thinking there is a big lorry coming to a stop.

you are bedding them in properly - i mean ur not meant to brake heard for the first 200-300 miles of installing new pads

I haven't done any hard braking, its when I press lightly on the peddal.

You need to chamfer(sp) the edges off the pads.

I had the same thing when I had EBC stuff.

the top and bottom or the leading edges?

I done all of them about half a cm on each edge.

You should'nt have to chanfer the edge's, they're on new disc's.
The problem you've got is because the pad's are lose.

can you fix that or just leave them alone to bed in?

And de-glase them aswell! Then break em' in again.

I had the same problem with mine.EBC disks and pads.Took pads out and chamfered the for and aft edges and it was fine.

Sometime's on the carrier's you'll have packing plate's and that is what take's up the gap between the pad and carrier.

The pad's will glaze once they get hot and cool down so you will be waisting your time with that, no offence

The green stuff pad's are good for braking but the complaint's of the brake's not working properly at low speed's will be because of the glaze on the pad's and then they get hot and brake like they're supposed to. There's no getting away from it i'm afraid.
