What can you use cheap for sound mat?

Heh, I've got some vibes in the front door kicks and they sound alreet - no sub so not badass. But after a few weeks they develop a rattle that totally screws the sound (refitting seems to sort it). The pioneer 4 inchers in the rear are fine.

Looking on fleabay the acoustic mat is stupidly expensive - can I use any old shite instead? Like I've got some of that weed mat you put under err your weeds in the garden

But I guess it should probably have some flame retartdent properties or something, like all the best ebay gear. Any suggestions much appreciated as I have to listen to radio 1 as its the only thing with no base

i used multiple layers of gaffer or duct tape, its also fire resistant and stops rattles.

it is not pretty but you dont see it in any event.
