Spare/extra connector near MAF

Just a quick question about my M40 318i, there is a electrical connector (two pin) hanging from the wire that connects to the MAF and runs to the main engine loom. I cant find anything this can connect to, but I thought I best check what, if anything, it should be connected to.

if its what I think it is , the it will be the feed wire for the fuel tank purging system, its only used on Cat equipped cars, basically its a feed that runs a small soleniod and purges tank fumes to engine inlet rather than atmosphere
