Sometimes i turn my headlights on but they stay on sidelights, other times one comes on and sometimes they both come on..

sometimes takes 5mins of trying to get them to come on!!

once they are on they will stay on however.

also the backlight for the headlight pull panel randomly do and dont work, were working Sat but not Sun..

anyone got any ideas at all? its a problem that seems to be developing with time, had the windscreen washer wierdness last week, altho the lights have been an issue for a while now

i have found a good sharp hit with your palm fixes most light issues, clock light gone out???...hit it!! temp gauge playing up... hit it!!

but generally most light issues due to dodgy connection and/or damp connections. the E30 headlight switch also multi position thing you can find a spot between sidelight and head lights where your headlights come on but not your rear and license plate lights (ideal for fast country roads)

Sounds like a switch problem to me too, had the same problem with the breaker I've got, quick change of switch and it was sorted.
