How can you re glue rooflining back down (up??) I have a little spot in the back corner of the touring that has gone funny. Do I have to take the whole roofl lining out or can I just take off the rear trim and get to it that way?

It is possible to glue it back up with the entire headling in place - i did it on my other Touring earlier this year as almost the entire rear section had drooped.

The material is glued to the headlining moulding by this light brown coloured glue and i chose to remove all this before going any further, which was probably a mistake as it's extremely messy stuff. Anyway, with that off, i used contact type adhesive spread all over the moulding then pressed the material up against it. Due to the area i had to cover, this proved impossible because it kept falling down, so i ended up stapling in place with a paper stapler. This held it in place whilst the glue set, then i took all the staples out. It wasn't a particularly good job in the end as i got a few creases in it and you could see where the staples had been, but unless you spent a lot of time lying on your back in the boot (which i dont!), then you would never notice.

If it's only a small area, you could try just a few staples to stop it spreading.

The only other way is to take the entire moulding out, which i'm told isn't that tricky with a Touring, but more work that i could be bothered with. At least if it's out, you can turn it upside down and work on the floor with it.

A couple of hair-brained options for fixing a Touring sagging headliner (which may or may not work!):

You could try aiming a heat gun (hair dryer) at the sagging section to see if it melts the glue back to life.

You could also try injecting some super glue with a long-needled syringe, Botox-style. Weird, yes, but worth a shot!

Good luck.
