Inner cable is held by a roll pin,you need to open up the operating arms in the handbrake drum to release it,take great care, the little buggers roll to the darkest corner of your work area and sit there laughing at you searching for them!
The outer furrules tend to sieze solid at both ends, often, the only way is to cut the inner and use a drift at the drum end and lots of WD40 or similar at the tube end and twist the ferrule until it gives in.Take care at the tube end,it's not unheard of for heavy-handed zoner's to pull the tubes out.

No,you should be able to grab the furrule with the tank in place,it's on the end of the tube that vanishes above the tank.adamDOT wrote:yeah thats always the way haha. have removed from hubs ok just trying to get them off of the car body now. is there any need to drop the fuel tank as it seems to go above that?
Handbrake cables are about £15 each,if you find the only way to get 'em out is in bits!
