hi guys, quick question if any 1 can help. my sport failed on two things for the MOT. just wanted someone to show me a pic of the following.
"front suspension component mounting prescribed area is corroded"
is this the droplink? if anyone can show me a pic of this.
or is the "front anti roll bar linkage" the drop link

Front anti roll bar linkage will be the drop link.
Other is more difficult,my MoT man gets artistic with a yellow crayon on bits that he does not like!
May be an idea to ask him to show you exactly what he is worried about.

there nothing wrong with ur drop link it is saying that the prescibe area is corroded ...basically uv have got rust within 30cm cicumfrance of a suspension compoment ...il suggest u query the mot tester and ask him were the corrosion is..... a long shot guess its either 1 of the turrets,scuttle,battery tray or the flitch panel !!

Cheers guys. the other problem was the steering rack, ive changed it for a second hand one but ran into a problem. the track rod end ball joint keeps spinning when i tighten the nut. iv'e tried jacking it but same problem. the old rack had alen key holes on the top but this ones got nothing. any ideas?
