just to make you all aware - not trying to dis this company but.....
went online to book oulton park 17th dec, everything looked OK, places available but i smelt a rat as the website had not been updated for a while so i phoned them. they said it was full and they had not updated the website. they said that i could book for oulton on 10th dec. i said i would check my diary and get back to them. 24hrs later i went on web and booked it. I have just phoned them to make card payment and they now say that it is cancelled as they did not complete the paperwork and get it back to oulton on time. how disorganised ??
has anyone used track action - are their track days run with better organisation than this. I dont want to book and pay and travel miles to finds some "other problem" ??

Hi John,
I've used Track Action a few times now when they have come over to the Isle of Man and they have been fantastic, well organised and a good bunch of people ta boot.
I can't explain what happened to you but it certainly doesn't sound like they're usual organised selves...

Track Day Confusion
On the 2nd Novemeber a Track Day was originally booked by Track Action at Oulton Park . For some weeks and for reasons private to Track-Action it has been stopped from running future events at MSV circuits for 2005.
Please also Note that Track Action are not running the 10th December 2005 and I am informed they were still taking money for this event up until today. It is still listed on their website as being available. I know some of you have asked for a refund. Their number is 0871 2000 221.
For those of you who where their today, both Simon Taylor (Director or Track Action) or more commonly known as 7/10ths and his wife Louise were escorted from Oulton Park for reasons private to MSV. Track Action had attempted to run under another track company, Ultimate Days Out, who were unaware of Simon Taylor's position and rumoured to have been mis-informed by Track Action today.
Please make sure you confirm with the appropriate circuit, not hear say, or members of Track Action, before booking any days with Track Action in the future.

I've booked for the 3rd Decmeber at Donington and mine went through ok, got the confirmation email etc
But i then booked it for my mate who has no internet access and they sent the confirmation details for the wrong event! tried calling with no response, sent an email with no response, then all of a sudden the right confirmation comes through with no apology or reply to the email?
Then i get a duplicate of my first confirmation sent through again?
So its not looked very organised so far, lets just hope the day is better!

I have booked up with him too, the chap seemed perfectly nice and polite.
Hope it all goes ok!
We shall see.
Don't wanna get there to find out it's cancelled, I shall be rather annoyed!

If you have concerns speak to Simon at Trackaction, i've used them alot and they are a decent bunch and their days are very informal and normally run smooth, i've used quite a few trackday companies and I find them the easiest out of them all to use, they're very understanding and always go out of their way to help especially when I have cancelled the night before!
please contact admin with regard to sig
i guess we all have different experiences - so far my experience of track action has been of a very disorganised and not-quiet-giving-the -full-story set up. You said that you had had bad expereiences with another company(i wont mention who) yet they gave me a full refund on sat when i didnt make the noise regs !!! i know nobody is perfect but i just felt very messed about by track action. cheers
